An unusual modern, vintage-inspired four-piece country suit from 'Oliver Brown, Chelsea', made from medium-weight wool tweed fabric in earthy brown checks with a subtle blue & purple overcheck. Single-breasted Norfolk-style 3 button jacket with medium padded shoulders, notch lapels, strapping down the front which forms loops for the full belt, large patch pockets with flaps, action back shoulder pleats, rear centre vent, cuffs with 4 working buttons; fully lined in blue acetate with ivory sleeve linings, 4 inside pockets. 2 waistcoats, one single & one double breasted, each with lapels, 2 pockets, rear adjuster strap, backed & lined to match the jacket. Trousers are quite wide in the leg, with single forward pleats, side waist buckle tabs, braces buttons, side slip & 1 rear pocket, zip fly, turn-ups, & part lining on the front. This was in the range about 8-10 years ago & would no doubt have been expensive then; currently suits from this maker are between £500 & £900. Could work well either as a contemporary suit with a difference, or tweaked & styled in a late 1920s/30s way.
Shirt & tie not included.

Condition:
In very good to excellent condition with light wear overall - there is a tiny repair to the right rear sleeve head which the camera couldn't see - some stains & marking to the trouser lining, particularly at the fork. Has been thoroughly steamed & brushed prior to listing but not cleaned.
