The ‘Old Fashioned Garments’ Type 2 roll neck jumper is a vintage reproduction faithfully adapted from an original 1940s pattern; unlike our other roll neck this one has dropped shoulders, different front and back pieces so that it is not reversible, and 2 x 2 ribbing. Each piece is individually hand made by Rosie on a manually operated knitting machine (sometimes referred to as ‘hand frame knitting’) using British 4-ply yarns which have been carefully chosen for their traditional appearance; thus each one is either unique or a very limited edition.
This one is made from a medium weight pure Shetland wool in rich forest green - on my screen the outdoor shots on the model are most accurate.
