The ‘Old Fashioned Garments’ roll neck jumper is a vintage reproduction faithfully adapted from an original late 1930s pattern; the pattern is unusual in that the jumper is made with identical front & back pieces so that it can be worn both ways to ensure even wear. Each piece is individually hand made by Rosie on a manually operated knitting machine (sometimes referred to as ‘hand frame knitting’) using British 4-ply yarns which have been carefully chosen for their traditional appearance; thus each one is either unique or a very limited edition.
This one is made from a medium weight pure Shetland lambswool in a beautiful complex heathery grey melange which has red-brown & blue undertones depending on the light - on my screen the colour is best shown in the last 2 close ups.
