A vintage 1940s dress, home made from a fairly thick, rustic cotton (but not flannel) fabric with a woven gingham type check in blue & pale pink. The bodice is double-breasted with a large pointed collar, opens to the waist with poppers & 4 decorative blue plastic buttons, & has long sleeves with popper-fastened shirt-style cuffs; the skirt is bias cut & very flared. There is no side opening, so the dress must pull on over the bust.
