A charming home-made 1940s summer dress, made from fine lightweight cotton fabric with a printed pattern of floral sprays in orange, red, green, grey & black on a white background. The bodice has a squared-off round neckline & front yoke with green piped edges, is darted to fit at the waist with a pointed bottom edge, & has short sleeves with gathered heads; the 4-gore skirt is bias cut, & has sweet triangular pockets with wide turn-over mock flaps on the front. It opens at the side with poppers, & at the neck back with a small green button.
