A vintage 1940s dress, home made from rayon crepe with a textured shiny leaf self-pattern in a deep sapphire blue colour (the colour is less vivid person). It has a high round neck, curved yoke with gathers below, draped bust gathered into a deep cummerbund-style waistband, short sleeves with darted heads, & slightly flared skirt. It fastens at the neck back with concealed poppers at the top of the mock fly opening & at the side with silver metal 'Prym' zip.

Condition: In very good condition overall - there is a small repair to the centre front of the yoke (probably due to a necklace snagging; could be hidden with a necklace, see photo) - very faint discolouration inside the neck - a mark to the skirt front near the hem (see close up), & another fainter mark nearby which the camera couldn't see. Has been carefully hand washed & steamed prior to listing.
