A superb vintage late 1940s or early 1950s skirt, home made from waffle textured cotton fabric in white with a fabulous novelty print of huge stylised leaves in green, red, blue & yellow. It has 4 gores, is very flared, has a welted pocket on the right hip & a stiffened waistband. It fastens at the side with a silver-coloured metal 'Ruhr' zip with a large white plastic button on the waistband. Condition: In very good condition, with light overall wear - on close examination it can be seen that there is faint yellow line alongside the left seam; this is actually a printing defect along the selvage which is slightly visible on the outside but more apparent on the inside (see last photo).
