A vintage 1940s dress made from soft, floppy rayon fabric with a floral print on pink, lilac, red, green & yellow on a white background. It has a bias-cut sleeveless dolman bodice with sweetheart neckline, darts at the natural waist & lowered waist seam; the skirt is flared & gathered at the top. It opens just at the top 2" of the front with poppers & has a line of decorative self-covered buttons all the way down; there is no side opening, so the low waist seam must pull over the bust.

Condition: In good condition overall - there is sun fading across the shoulders - a slightly pink tinge around the neck - a small repaired fray next to the top button, with a corresponding fray on the inside - 2 tiny repairs at the top shoulders (arrowed) - a small seamed repair on the centre back bodice (arrowed) - 3 tiny holes towards the skirt hem - some discolouration at the armpits. Has been carefully hand washed & steamed prior to listing
