A lovely vintage 1940s dress, home made from a lacey floral embroidered net fabric in midnight blue. It has a round neck, rounded T-shaped centre bodice panel, gathers at the bust, and short sleeves with gathered heads. The skirt is flared with gathers where it meets the centre bodice seam. There are 6 early plastic buttons & loops at the neck back, but no side openings (please bear this in mind when looking at the measurements). There is slight stretch to the fabric, but it is not intended to be worn tight; it is translucent so a full slip may be desired underneath. Condition: In very good condition, with light wear overall - there is a small darned repair to the opening at the back (see last photo).
