A delightful vintage circa 1940s hand knitted cardigan in marled oatmeal with traditional geometric Fairisle pattern in yellow, dark pink, blue & green in bands around the body. It has a low V neck, quite slim set-in sleeves, deep ribbed cuffs & waistband; the front fastens with 6 marbled beige early plastic buttons with a pinwheel design. Condition: In very good condition with light wear overall - there is slight matting at the armpits - a small repair on the back of the left sleeve - on close examination there is slight darkening around the cuff folds. Has been carefully hand washed & steamed prior to listing.
