A cheerful vintage French 1940s skirt, home made from a floppy rayon fabric with a bold novelty border print of flowers & butterflies in mid blue on a white background. Made from one piece gathered into the waist, it fastens at the side with a metal 'Eclair' zip with hooks/loops on the waistband. Condition: In very good condition with minor overall surface wear - the waist hooks have rusted slightly - the waist has been enlarged long ago with the addition of an extra piece of petersham inside. Has been hand washed & steamed prior to listing.
