A vintage 1950s skirt, made from soft brown corduroy fabric which curiously has a faint floral print on the back. It is quite flared, with a central pleated panel, 2 patch pockets with gathers below, gathered waistband, & side opening with popper & hook fastening. On looking inside it can be seen that the skirt has been reworked from a larger size or perhaps cut down from a dress, as the seam edges have been cut & left raw at the top and the placket remade.

Condition: In good condition with gentle wear & fading overall - a faint light patch & a faint dark patch on the lower front - a faint dark line on the lower back where the hem has been taken up & let down again - on the inside, some of the stitching where the hips & waistline have been reworked is a bit untidy. Has been carefully hand washed & steamed prior to listing.
