Original Vintage 1950s Skirt Novelty Umbrella Style Linen UK XS
A really fun vintage 1950s summer skirt, made in umbrella-style panels from a medium-weight linen fabric in grey, blue & pink. There are 12 panels in total, each with a pin tucked central rib to help maintain the fold, buttonholes around the waist through which the self-belt is threaded, & it opens all down the front with pink pearly plastic buttons.

All measurements are external, taken with the garment laid flat, to be doubled where appropriate (with approx. metric equivalent):

Condition:
In very good condition, with light overall fading & patina - there is a small brown mark about midway down the centre front & a couple of faint tiny marks towards the hem - some surface wear to the petersham waistband lining. Has been carefully hand washed & steamed prior to listing.
