A lovely vintage 1940s shirt waister dress, hand made from a fairly thick rayon crepe with a woven self geometric pattern in a beautiful rich dark pink colour. It has an open neck with long pointed collar, pleated bodice which fastens down to the waist with 4 early plastic buttons, long slim sleeves, and a pleated 2 gore skirt. There is a metal 'ZIPP' fastener at the side with a nicely shaped puller.

Condition: In very good condition with minor overall surface wear but the colour has a subtle slightly patchy or uneven appearance (not very noticeable when worn & the camera couldn't register it). Has been carefully hand washed & steamed prior to listing.
