A rare c.late 1930s or early 1940s dress handmade from a luxurious heavy weight satin faced crepe. The dress has a high draped neckline, V-shaped yoke and a double pointed high waist seam which makes me think of bat ears, slim elbow length sleeves, and fabric covered buttons at the bodice back; the skirt is slightly flared. It fastens at the back bodice, waist side, & cuffs with poppers.

Condition: In good condition overall - does not appear to have been worn much but there are multiple snags/abrasions to the the upper surface of the satin, particularly to the middle & left side of the bodice front & upper part of the skirt, but also some snags to the skirt front about 7" up from the hem (Please see photos).
