A fantastic vintage 1930s Hungarian hand embroidered blouse, made from black satin fabric decorated with traditional geometric patterns in shades of red, blue, green, gold & pale apricot. It has a stand collar, fastens on the left shoulder with poppers, a faux chest placket, billowy balloon sleeves with popper fastened cuffs, & a waist cord running through thread loops. Condition: In very good condition overall - there are some scattered surface snags & rubs, particularly to the underside of the sleeves (see close-ups for the most apparent of these) - the poppers on the neck & cuffs have at some point been moved to make the openings smaller & later put back to the original, larger position; there are stitch marks & tiny wear spots where they previously were - the waist cord is a recent replacement. Has been carefully hand washed & steamed prior to listing
