A charming vintage 1940s evening sweater/blouse, hand knitted from fairly fine wool crepe yarn in cream colour. It is made in a fancy rib stitch, with a scalloped squarish neckline & short sleeves, is decorated with gold sequins & tiny glass beads, & retains the original silk dress shields at the armpits.

All measurements are external, taken with the garment laid flat, to be doubled where appropriate (with approx. metric equivalent):
Bust: 16" relaxed, 18" stretched (40.7cm - 45.7cm)
Waist: 10 1/2" relaxed - 14" fully stretched (26.7cm - 35.5cm)
Cuff opening: 4 1/4" relaxed, 5 1/2" stretched (10.7cm - 14cm)
Length (nape to hem): 18" (45.7cm)
Condition:
In very good condition overall, with light surface wear - there is a small repair to the back of the left sleeve near the seam - a few missing sequins - some scattered small faint marks which the camera couldn't see, most likely colour transfer from the sequins in storage. Has been carefully steamed prior to listing.
