An excellent vintage 'Mary Maxim' cardigan in a rare 'Sports Cars' design, hand knitted in the late 1950s or early 1960s from chunky, heavyweight wool in tomato red & beige with a super picture knit in green & dark brown. It has a high shawl collar, 2 pockets & fastens with a silver metal 'Lightning' zip with teardrop puller.

Condition: In very good condition overall with some wear & minor bobbling - the stitching holding the zip is coming slightly loose at the top & bottom. Has been thoroughly steamed prior to listing but a faint storage aroma remains.
