A fantastic and exceedingly rare vintage 1940s English zip-up sports jacket, made by 'Lillywhites' from soft suede in a glorious flame orange colour. It is hip-length, has raglan sleeves with double-button shirt style cuffs, generous collar with rounded tips, slash hand warmer pockets on the chest, & elasticated tunnel waistband; the front fastens with a silver metal 'Lightning' zip with bell-shaped puller, & it is fully lined in aubergine purple satiny rayon.

Condition: In excellent condition, especially for a suede garment of this age - there is some subtle darkening on the collar fold, on the high spots around the waist & cuffs, & at the back of the wrists - one cuff button is an odd replacement.
