A super vintage late 1940s or early 1950s dress, home made from soft, floppy rayon fabric in a bold check or plaid in lime green, grey, yellow, red & black with textured white stripes woven through. It has a dolman bodice with deep pleats at the front shoulders, 3/4 length sleeves, a high V neck, & opens to the waist with black plastic buttons; the skirt is very flared & cut on the bias, & there is a side opening with silver metal 'Opti' zip with a nice pointed puller.

Condition: In very good condition overall - there are 2 small repairs at the left side of the neck opening - some edge wear & a small fray on the facing at the neck back - a tiny repair to the back of the right sleeve - a tiny repair near the zip - on close examination, 2 very faint brown marks to the skirt (see last photo) - the shoulder pads are modern replacements. Has been carefully hand washed & steamed prior to listing
