1940s Vintage Dress WW2 Rust Crepe Lace UK XS
1940s Vintage Dress WW2 Rust Crepe Lace UK XS
A superb & very unusual vintage 1940s dress hand made from rust coloured lace fabric with solid, slightly ribbed crepe panels inserted on the front & back; both fabrics feel like rayon or rayon/cotton. It has a high round neck, short sleeves with gathered heads & solid turn back cuffs, no waist seams except in the side panels, & a slightly flared skirt; it fastens at the neck back with self-covered buttons but there is no side opening (bear this mind when considering the measurements as you need to be able wriggle in to it). There are thread belt loops but no belt; the length of vintage ribbon shown in the photos is included.
NB the lace panels are openwork, so you would probably need a slip underneath...
Please study the photographs carefully - they form an important part of the description.
