A wonderful vintage 1940s American dress, made from a slightly slubby or linen-look textured floppy rayon fabric with a fantastic bold novelty print depicting ballerinas or dancers in green, orange, teal blue & black on a light blue background. It has a dolman bodice with short sleeves & turn-back cuffs, a pointed collar & flared skirt with generous pleats at the back waist. There is a brass 'Serval' zip running down the front to below the waist, & belt loops but no belt.

All measurements are external, taken with the garment laid flat, to be doubled where appropriate (with approx. metric equivalent):
Bust approx.: 19" (48.2 cm)

Condition:
In good used condition with wear overall - slight yellowing to the edges of both cuffs, & a tiny hole & some faint dark lines on the right cuff (see close-up photo) - a faint line of stitch marks around the skirt where the hem has been let down to the maximum - an area of small holes & snags on the lower left front of the skirt, by the side seam (see close up photo) - on close examination there is very slight discolouration under the arms, & a faint patch of yellowing on the left back, about 3" above the underarm seam - a narrow line of subtle yellowing across the shoulders - the collar has been cut on the bias, resulting in a twist in the fabric at the neck back.
