A super vintage 1940s American 'Youthmore Original' 2-piece suit from 'Parish's of Denver', made from a medium-weight wool gabardine fabric in a chocolate brown colour. The long-line Princess-seam jacket has broad, padded shoulders & a nipped-in waist to give a strong silhouette, large, pointed swallow-tail collar, & huge pyramidal pannier-like patch pockets on the hips; it fastens with 4 large marbled purplish plastic buttons & is lined with brown crepe de chine. The 4-gore skirt is fairly straight, with waist darts at front & back & a rear kick pleat; it fastens at the side with a painted metal 'Talon' zip & a button on the waistband.

Size: Suggested UK XS Shown on a mannequin with a 34" Bust, 25" waist, 36" hip & it was a good fit on her (please check measurements below)

Condition:
In very good to excellent condition with light wear overall - on the jacket there are some very faint whitish marks which the camera couldn't see (NB The white spot on the right cuff is a bit of fluff, not an actual mark) - some discolouration to the armpit lining - on the skirt a group of 4 tiny surface rubs & pinholes on the lower right back, 3" above the hem - the inside edges of the turnings are frayed in places. Has been carefully hand washed & steamed prior to listing.
