A really wonderful vintage 1930s home or dress-maker made two-tone dress, made using a novelty print rayon crepe fabric with multicoloured floral garlands on a black background for the shoulders & sleeves, & black satin for the body. The floral section has a V neck & long, billowy sleeves with button-fastened cuffs & gathered heads; the satin section is in one piece with no waist seams, has a sweetheart shaped top edge, ruched gathers in the bodice centre, & wedge-shaped panels in the centres of the flared skirt. There is a side opening fastened with a brass 'Ritz' zip, & a tie belt made from the floral fabric.

Condition: In very good to excellent condition overall, does not appear much worn - there is a strip of very subtle fading across the shoulders - a tiny hole in the faded section on the left shoulder - the skirt has been let down to the maximum & blind hemmed with binding; there is a crease line where it originally was (all shown in last photo).
