A beautiful vintage early 1950s dress, home made from a smooth, cool-to-the-touch rayon fabric which has a soft, slightly rustly texture with a striking paisley print in jewel-like tones of red, green, yellow & white on a blue background. The bodice has a square neckline, padded shoulders, short sleeves, & is darted to fit the waist; the skirt is flared, with deep pleats all round the waist. There is a blue painted metal 'Lightning' zip at the side, & a matching popper-fastened belt.

Condition: In very good condition with light wear overall - there is a faint mark to the skirt front (see close up) which is quite well disguised by the pattern. Has been carefully hand washed & steamed prior to listing.
