A beautiful vintage 1930s Hungarian embroidered blouse, made from off-white lightweight cotton voile fabric, with multicoloured geometric designs on the front & sleeves & multicoloured zig-zag smocking around the cuffs & hem. It has a gathered wide round neck with tie cord fastening & long raglan sleeves.

Size: Suggested UK M, shown on a mannequin with a 34" bust & it was a bit too large for her (please check measurements below) All measurements are external, taken with the garment laid flat, to be doubled where appropriate (with approx. metric equivalent): Bust (intended to be worn loose): 21" (53.3 cm) Waist (width at hem): 16" (40.7 cm) Sleeve length underarm to cuff: 16" (40.7 cm) Sleeve width at widest point (armpit level): 7 1/4" (18.3 cm) Cuff opening: 3 3/4" (9.5cm) Approx length top of shoulder to hem: 19 1/2" (49.5 cm)
Condition: In good condition overall - there is a darn near the neck back & some drawn threads next to it - a small hole to the back of the right sleeve near the seam - some drawn threads to the left sleeve (see last photo). On close examination there is a very feint dark mark to the back (see arrow in last photo). Has been carefully hand washed & steamed prior to listing.
