Vintage 1940s 50s Housecoat Dressing Gown Eau De Nil Green Wool Robe UK M
Vintage 1940s 50s Housecoat Dressing Gown Eau De Nil Green Wool Robe UK M
An extraordinary & rare vintage 1940s or early 1950s housecoat or robe, made by 'Kay Sidney' from a medium-weight slightly fleecy all wool fabric in a striking eau de nil green colour with flocked floral decoration around the neck & down the leading edge. It is a wrap-over style with a shawl collar, has padded shoulders, straight sleeves with pointy turn-back cuffs, slash pockets below the waist, & fastens with a flared self-tie waist belt.
Size: Suggested UK M. Shown on a mannequin with a 36" bust (please check measurements below)

Does not appear to have been much worn, in very good condition overall apart from several areas of small moth nibbles to the fleecy surface of the fabric - the most noticeable are on the left back shoulder, on the collar, at the armpits, & towards the front hem, these are shown in close ups - there is a tiny repair to the upper back (arrowed). Has been thoroughly steamed prior to listing.
I have a no returns policy - please check the above measurements and compare to a similar garment of your own before buying - no refund offered for items that don’t fit.
