An unusual vintage 1940s afternoon or evening dress, hand made from rayon crepe fabric with a bold novelty floral print in fuchsia, chartreuse, teal blue & pinky-brown on an off-white background. It has a V neck with lace trim, gathering at the shoulders, interestingly-shaped front plastron panel which extends to form the pointed hem of the wide waistband, & short sleeves with gathered, supported heads; the flared skirt is gathered into sides of the waistband at front & back. The dress fastens at the right side with a painted metal 'Aero' zip.
