A very chic vintage 1930s/1940s coat made from medium-weight black wool fabric in a boucle textured faux-Astrakhan weave. It is a wrap-over style with no fastenings other than the matching tie belt, with princess seam construction giving a fitted bodice & flared skirt, shawl collar which can also stand up in a funnel shape, lightly padded shoulders, & slim sleeves with pleated, darted heads; it is fully lined in black rayon fabric. There are no makers labels.
Size: Suggested UK S/M Shown on a mannequin with a 36" bust size (please check measurements below). All measurements are external, taken with the garment laid flat, to be doubled where appropriate (with approx. metric equivalent):

Condition: In very good condition overall - there is some baldness/loss of pile on the centre front leading edge & around the cuffs (see close ups) - the hems have been let down at some point, the outer is blind hemmed with tape & the lining has stitch marks & creases. Has been thoroughly steamed prior to listing.
