Vintage 1940s CC41 Double Breasted Overcoat Coat Dark Blue Wool DB Belted UK S
A stylish vintage 1940s overcoat, made from a thick wool cloth in a dark blue with paler strands in the fuzzy nap. It is double-breasted with broad peaked lapels, has medium-padded shoulders with rear-sloping seams, is fitted at the waist, has a belt with a painted cast alloy buckle & 2 flapped lower pockets. Fully lined with navy blue rayon twill fabric, with an inside breast pocket. The cutter tag inside the pocket states 'X212B', which is a CC41 Utility Scheme fabric designation number, although I haven't found any sign of a CC41 label; this type of cast belt buckle was also commonly used on utility coats.
Please study the photographs carefully - they form an important part of the description.
