A glorious vintage 1940s CC41 Utility Scheme labelled dress made by 'Laura Lee' from floppy rayon fabric with a fabulous bold abstract novelty print depicting large & small leaves in blue, magenta, grey & black on a white background. It is a shirtwaister style with pointed collar & revers, short sleeves & pointed 'rabbit ear' turn back cuffs; the 4-gore skirt is very flared & gathered into the waist at the front, with 2 slash pockets at the edge of the gathers. The front opens to the waist with 3 large flower-embossed white plastic buttons, & there is a popper-fastened side opening; there are belt loops & a matching wide belt with self covered double-prong buckle.
