Vintage 1940s short divided skirt or shorts from the well-known 'Londonus Super Sportswear' brand, made from fairly thick marled grey wool flannel fabric. They have wide, flared legs with centre box pleats at front & back, open from hip level & topstitched above, a single ticket or cash pocket below the waistband, & fasten at the side with a silver metal 'Lightning' zip and a hook on the inner waistband. Quite heavy duty, they are meant for outdoor sports such as rambling or cycling rather than sunbathing!

Size: Suggested UK S/M (please check measurements below) All measurements are external, taken with the garment laid flat, to be doubled where appropriate (with approx. metric equivalent): Waist: 14" (35.6cm) Hips (measured 7" down from top of waistband): 20" (50.8cm) Top of waistband to crotch seam: 16" (40.7cm) Out seam (top of waistband to hem): 19" (48.2cm)
Condition: In good condition with signs of use overall - there is surface wear & slight patina to the fabric - a tiny repair on the right hip near the side seam which the camera couldn't see - some repairs to the topstitching down the pleats & zip - some of the original topstitching is a bit wonky, with a couple of slips off the edge - slight pulling & wear to the top of the pleats. Has been carefully hand washed & steamed prior to listing.
