Vintage 1940s German Short Double Breasted Coat Jacket Forest Green DB Back Belt UK 44" XL
Vintage 1940s German Short Double Breasted Coat Jacket Forest Green DB Back Belt UK 44" XL
A rare vintage circa 1940s German 'Joppe' or 'Stutzer' half-belted jacket or pea coat, made by "Hubertus, Gottingen" from heavyweight wool fabric in a forest green shade trimmed with bottle green piping - on my screen the flat close-up of the collar is most accurate. Double-breasted with broad lapels, medium padded shoulders, slash hand-warmer pockets with nicely scalloped entries, large lower box-pleated patch pockets with buttoned flaps, & half-belt at the back; fully lined with lustrous green rayon.
Please study the photographs carefully - they form an important part of the description.
