A very pretty vintage 1940s shirt dress, made from a drapey rayon crepe fabric with a paisley print in magenta & blue on a yellow background. It has an open V neck with pointed collar & revers, bodice with inverted L shaped panels on the front & a yoke seam on the back, both with gathers below, & short sleeves; the skirt is flared & is gathered all round into the waist seam, with 2 curved-mouth patch pockets on the front. The dress opens all the way down the front with marbled plastic cat-eye buttons & there is a matching belt running through fabric loops.

Condition: The dress is in excellent condition, with light wear overall - there is very slight fading/surface wear at the armpits. Has been carefully hand washed & steamed prior to listing.
