A exquisite vintage 1940s peasant or Hungarian style off-white pure slubby linen blouse or jacket, embellished with lovely hand embroidered flowers in blues, reds, greens, oranges & yellow. Made in a bodice style, it has a wide round neck, is darted to fit the waist with a pleated peplum below the waist seam at the back, & fastens with 12 red, blue & cream pearlescent plastic buttons. No label other than the size label.

Condition: In excellent condition overall - on close examination there is very slight discolouration to the armpits which my camera couldn't pick up, and a small feint mark to the left front sleeve. The buttons appear to be more recent replacements. Has been carefully hand washed & steamed prior to listing.
