Original Vintage 1940s Black Wool Dress Embroidered Decoration Patch Pockets UK S
An unusual vintage 1940s dress, home made from soft, self-textured floppy wool fabric in black & embellished with embroidered curliques in light grey chenille. The bodice has a high round neck, curved front yoke panel with gathers below & into the waistband, & long, wide sleeves gathered into the cuffs; the 2-gore flared skirt is bias cut, with large patch pockets on the front. The dress opens down the back to the waist with self-covered buttons, & at the side with poppers.
Please study the photographs carefully - they form an important part of the description.

Condition:
In good condition with some overall wear & scattered surface snags to the fabric - numerous loose/pulled threads & snags to the embroidery - the top button is an odd replacement - on looking inside, the finishing is a bit rough & ready, the back of the embroidery is rather untidy & some of the seams are frayed. Has been hand washed & steamed prior to listing.
I have a no returns policy - please check the above measurements and compare to a similar garment of your own before buying - no refund offered for items that don’t fit.
