An unusual vintage circa 1940s dress, hand made from slightly textured rayon in a fuchsia colour. It has a sleeveless bodice with wide round neckline & inset ruched V-shaped panel on the bust with rustic blanket-stitch embroidery around the edges, ruching on the shoulders, & gathering into the deep waistband; the very flared skirt is gathered into the waist, & there is a side opening with a replacement vintage painted metal "Lightning" zip.

Condition: In excellent condition overall - There is a tiny area of seam strain above the zip opening and minor discolouration/fading to the inside neck area. On close inspection there are 2 pin holes to the skirt & a feint mark (circled - see close ups). Has been carefully hand washed & steamed prior to listing.
