A vintage 1940s shirt dress, home made from a drapey, cool to the touch rayon fabric with a bold paisley pattern in pinks, green, blue, black & white on a teal background. It has an open neck with pointed collar, short sleeves with turn back cuffs & a flared skirt which is pleated into the waistband. The dress fastens with 9 teal blue early plastic buttons & there is a matching fabric belt with plastic buckle .

Condition: In very good condition with light overall wear - the top buttonhole has frayed (see close ups), and there is wear along the inside edge of the belt (not visible when worn) & a couple of scuffs to the buckle. Has been carefully hand washed & steamed prior to listing.
