A vintage 1940s shirtwaister dress, home made from a linen-look cotton fabric with alternating stripes of paisley pattern in red, blues, & yellow and floral geometrics in brown & white, used in different directions to highlight the cut. It has an open neck with pointed collar, short sleeves & a fairly slim skirt which is gathered into the waist. The dress opens to the waist with 2 cream early plastic buttons & there is a matching fabric belt with plastic buckle - NB there is no side opening.
