A vintage 1940s or early 1950s Canadian topcoat, made (or retailed) by 'Irish Tweeds Ltd.' from a suiting weight wool tweed in dark navy & natural micro check with bold mid-blue overchecks. Cut in an easy-fitting, slip on style, single-breasted with broad notch lapels, quite lightly padded shoulders, 2 lower patch pockets with generous flaps. Part lined with blue-grey satin rayon fabric, with 1 inside breast pocket.

Size: Suggested Large Regular/Long, to fit about a 42" chest, depending on whether a suit jacket is worn beneath.

Condition:
In good to very good condition, does not appear much worn but with some minor flaws - there are several small repairs, most noticeably on the right outer sleeve, near the left side seam towards the hem & by the top rear corner of the left pocket flap (arrowed) - a few very faint orangey marks (one circled) - some wear & discolouration to the lining - some popped stitching on the lining edges & hems. Has been thoroughly steamed & brushed prior to listing.
