A stylish vintage late 1940s dress, hand made from a fairly heavyweight Donegal tweed type wool fabric in flecked yellows & greys with occasional red neps. It has a dolman bodice with inset V-shaped shoulder section, high funnel neck with front opening, & 3/4 length sleeves with turn-back cuffs; the skirt is flared, with 4 bias-cut gores, & has pockets with curved openings. The dress opens at the side with a painted metal 'Lightning' zip. NB The belt shown in the photos is NOT included & is not for sale.

Condition: In very good condition overall, with some minor flaws: - a faint orangey mark on the bodice front & 3 small repairs (all circled) - very minor wear at the armpits. Has been hand washed & steamed prior to listing.
