A striking vintage 1940s overall smock, made from from a printed cotton fabric with a bold abstract floral print of dark blue roses & red leaves on a white background. It is cut in a wrap-over style with shawl collar & waist ties, a single hip pocket & long sleeves with shirt-style buttoned cuffs. Could also be worn as a dressing gown or summer wrap dress.

Condition: In good condition with some flaws:- there is a patch of faint brown marks on the left skirt (not visible when fastened) - another smaller mark below the pocket - a small tear on the pocket - a faint mark on the front right shoulder & another on the back right shoulder - a discreet seamed repair on the centre back (all circled) - the cuffs are a bit grubby. The garment is made with French seams which have been badly trimmed during manufacture so that tufts are visible here & there (this is cosmetic & does not affect strength). Has been carefully hand washed and steamed prior to listing.
