A vintage late 1960s or early 1970s three-piece suit, made in a very traditional style from an unusual Harris Tweed in a beautiful autumnal mix of greens, browns, cinnamon & blue. Single-breasted 3 button jacket with medium padded shoulders, notch lapels, rear centre vent, welted chest & angled lower flap pockets, cuffs with 3 decorative buttons; fully lined in olive rayon with ivory sleeve linings. Waistcoat with 6 buttons, 4 pockets, rear adjuster strap, backed & lined to match the jacket. Trousers are full cut & quite wide in the leg, with side waist button tabs, braces buttons, side slip & 1 rear pocket, nylon 'Lightning' zip fly, turn-ups. Jacket & waistcoat are fitted with leather 'football' buttons.
Shirt & tie not included.

Condition: In very good condition overall, does not appear much worn but with some minor flaws: - the jacket lining has some wear & stains at the armpits & a small hole at the right armpit - the waistcoat lining & back have stains & watermarks, especially at the armpits, & the back strap has torn where it has been fastened too tight - the trousers have 2 small repairs to the inner left thigh (arrowed - not very apparent when worn), some marks & wear to the waistband lining, especially around the brace buttons, & a piece has been replaced at the back. Has been thoroughly steamed & brushed prior to listing but a slightly musty & perfumed aroma remains.
