A charming handmade c.1940s/50s blouse made from peachy pink crisp smooth rayon fabric (similar to that used for 1940s slips & lingerie). It has a darker pink Broderie Anglaise cut out floral design on the front placket & a chain-link pattern round the collar edge, long fairly wide sleeves which gather into a narrow cuff, & is darted to fit the waist; there are 5 decorative filigree style dark pink early plastic buttons down the front placket with concealed metal poppers to fasten.

Condition: In very good condition overall - there are a couple of small faint marks to the front (arrowed), and some faint marks to the back (see 3 circled areas). On close examination there is a barely visible mark on the front of the left sleeve (circled). Looking inside the blouse the shoulder and arm cycle seams have not been finished & have slightly frayed edges (the other seams are French seams). Has been carefully hand washed & steamed prior to listing.
