Vintage Mens 1950s Burton Double Breasted Overcoat Coat Dark Charcoal Grey Wool DB Belted UK L/XL
A vintage 1950s overcoat, tailored in 1955 by 'Montague Burton' from a 'Burton Laird' thick & slightly fleecy wool cloth in a dark charcoal grey with paler strands in the fuzzy nap; my camera struggled to get the right tone, it is nearer to black than the mannequin shots suggest. It is 6-button double-breasted with broad lapels, has medium-padded shoulders, cuffs with 3 decorative buttons, 2 flapped lower pockets, & a belt with a textured plastic buckle. Fully lined with black satiny fabric, with an inside breast pocket. Stylistically the coat is little different to those made 10 years earlier & has an unusual style of Burtons label.
Please study the photographs carefully - they form an important part of the description.
Size: Suggested Large/Extra Large, Long Fitting - to fit about a 42"/44" chest, depending on whether a suit jacket is worn beneath.
