A vintage late 1950s or early 1960s zip-up cardigan or lumberjacket, hand knitted from a chunky, fairly heavy weight yarn a vibrant jade green & blue marl; it feels like a wool & nylon (rather than acrylic) blend & has a firm, slightly 'crunchy' handle. Made in a kind of broad rib stitch, it has raglan sleeves, a ribbed collar, ribbed waistband & cuffs, & fastens with a silver metal 'Lightning' zip with fantail puller.

Condition: In very good condition overall with some surface wear & minor bobbling - there are some tufts at the top edge of the zip tape where it has not sewn in very well - the cuff ribbing is no longer very stretchy & there is a faint fold line around the cuffs as if they have been worn turned back. Has been carefully hand washed & steamed prior to listing.
