A lovely vintage 1950s housecoat or robe, made from a fairly light-weight brushed wool fabric in a bright red colour trimmed with satiny piping. It has a fitted bodice with shawl collar, 3/4 length sleeves with turn-back cuffs, flared skirt with deep pleats at the front waist, side pockets, & matching tie belt; the bodice fastens with 3 self-covered buttons and the skirt has a 3/4 length metal 'Lance' front zip, so that you step into the robe to put it on.

Condition: In excellent condition with light wear overall - the skirt appears to have been slightly shortened at some time. Has been carefully hand washed & steamed prior to listing.
