Vintage 1950s Mens Burton Single Breasted Overcoat Coat Grey Herringbone Tweed Wool 42"
A vintage mid 1950s overcoat, 'Burton Tailored' (i.e. made by Montague Burton) from a herringbone weave tweedy double-faced cloth in variegated mid-grey tones with bold blue-grey checks inside. Cut in an easy-fitting, slip on style, single-breasted with broad notch lapels, quite heavily padded shoulders, 2 large lower patch pockets with flaps, cuff turn-backs with decorative buttons. Part lined in grey satiny fabric, with 1 inside breast pocket.

Condition:
In very good condition with light wear overall - there is fraying to the bottom buttonhole - a faint brown mark on the bottom corner of the left pocket - a few scuffs & marks to the lining. Has been thoroughly steamed & brushed prior to listing.
