Vintage 1960s Mens Bespoke Tweed Jacket Brown Windowpane Check 42"-44"
A vintage 1960s sports jacket, bespoke tailored in 1963 by 'L.G. Wilkinson' from an unusual brown & natural barleycorn weave tweed fabric with double red & burnt orange overchecks, the verticals having a herringbone stripe between - on my screen the close ups show it most accurately. Single breasted 3-button fastening with notch lapels, cut slightly longer in the body which combined with the lack of breast pocket gives a rather Edwardian look - centre vent - medium padded shoulders - slightly fitted or suppressed waist - lower flapped pockets - 2 of 4 cuff buttons working - lined in taupe mohair with checked off-white sleeve linings - 2 inside chest pockets.
Please study the photographs carefully - they form an important part of the description.
