A stylish vintage late 1960s three-piece suit, made by 'Alexandre' from Harris Tweed in a herringbone weave of variegated mid-browns & greyish natural oatmeal. Single-breasted 3 button jacket with lightly padded shoulders, notch lapels, fitted waist, slightly flared skirt, rear centre vent, welted chest & angled lower flap pockets, cuffs with 1 decorative button; fully lined in fancy orange dotted taupe satiny 'Milium' insulated fabric with ivory striped sleeve linings. Waistcoat with 6 buttons, 4 welted pockets, rear adjuster strap, backed & lined to match the jacket. Trousers are slim cut & quite straight in the leg, with single inward pleats, side waist button tabs, side slip & 1 rear pocket, nylon 'Lightning' zip fly, turn-ups. Jacket & waistcoat are fitted with leather 'football' buttons.

Condition: In very good to excellent condition overall, does not appear much worn but with some minor flaws: - the jacket has about 20 discreet repairs, mostly across the upper back & on the outer sleeves, which are quite well disguised by the weave; the most apparent are arrowed - some of the waistcoat buttons are a bit loose - a few marks to the trouser linings & marks to the waistband where they have been taken in & subsequently let out again. Has been thoroughly steamed & brushed prior to listing.
